Load Carrying and Towing

Many people think that the only solution to increasing the load carrying or towing capability of their vehicle is to fit stiffer heavy duty springs to their vehicle. Not only is that not their only solution, but often it is far from being the best solution. An uprated spring solution will not account for the weight being increased, decreased or removed altogether. This is especially true for towing. We hear from a lot from people looking for an alternative to their stiffer rear suspension due to the poor ride quality.

Boss Air Suspension Load Assist kits are designed to keep your vehicle level and safe when carrying a heavy load or towing a heavy trailer, caravan boat or similar. An airbag system is a fully adjustable solution for supporting that heavy load. You simply adjust the air pressure in the airbag to provide more or less support as required. You can even have different pressures side to side to account for an unbalanced load such as a water tank fitted to one side of the vehicle or toolboxes that carry uneven weights.

Our airbags are probably the toughest in the world with a working pressure of up to 160psi, a verified burst pressure over 600psi and a 5 year on and off-road warranty. Most kits can be fitted without any drilling, as they simply replace the existing factory bump stops. The bags are designed so that, no matter how compressed they are, there is only rubber to rubber contact so they can do the job of a bump stop if necessary.
